You’re a lean, mean, lady-boss machine and you deserve to embrace it!

We as women tend to downplay just how incredible we are for most of the year, but this day is an important one and cannot be ignored.

You only turn any age once, and that’s why you’ve got to celebrate each and every birthday with everything you’ve got.

While there are plenty of ways you can celebrate your special day, here are 7 great ones to help narrow down your choices.

#1 Plan A Trip

If you’re anything like me, you’ll find yourself caught up in a never-ending whirlpool of work. The mere thought of getting home and slipping into bed seems like a luxurious getaway sometimes.

But you need to take time to get away from it all.

Think about a place you’ve been dying to visit but haven’t been able to get to for one reason or another. Then plan your escape…even if it’s just for a few days.

I personally recommend checking a few months in advance to make sure everything comes together just in time to celebrate your birthday!

I know it can be hard to plan with a busy schedule, but trust me, you deserve a little break from home once in a while.

Your trip doesn’t even have to be very far away! You’d be surprised just how much of a recharge traveling just a few hours away can be!

#2 Throw a Party

I know what you’re thinking. This is what most people call the obvious option, but it really doesn’t have to be your classic “pin the tail on the donkey” party.

I’m an advocate for parties with great themes, especially if it’s a milestone birthday.

This is also a great alternative to traveling if you’re on a budget.

Couldn’t quite get yourself to France to celebrate your special day? Hop on Google and pull up Pinterest for some great ideas on transforming your home to Paris for the night.

I’m a total DIY girl, and prepping for the party and seeing everything come together is a guilty pleasure of mine.

If you feel like keeping it small and simple with chips and guac and close friends, that’s okay too!

Your party can be whatever you want it to be, it’s your special day so make it whatever you want it to be!

#3 An All GIRLS Night

Sometimes all you really need is a bottle of wine and your favorite ladies.

It’s been way too long since you’ve gotten the girls together to celebrate something as big as this, and if there’s ever a time to do it, it’s now.

This is your chance to catch up and talk it up with your besties.

And yea, I know it seems like such a simple concept, but I can tell you from experience that it can be much harder than it sounds when everyone seems to have entirely conflicting schedules.

Life happens and friends get busy… really busy.

So dial up those digits and start planning your special bday girl ghetty!

Regardless if you end up staying home, or end up somewhere in Vegas, you’re sure to have a blast with those special women in your life.

#4 Spa Day

Oh yes girl. You need to make sure you take care of your body and mind with a little TLC here and there. If not regularly, at least give it a try for your birthday.

I found that the more birthdays I have, the more I need days like these. Days where I don’t have to worry about anything but myself and relaxation.

Even if you take time to practice self-care regularly, there’s nothing quite like being pampered and doted on.

We tend to put 110% percent of ourselves into everything we do and forget that sometimes taking a minute to breath is a good thing.

It’s important you make sure you spread the self-love here and there and #treat yourself to well-deserved days away from stress whenever you can.

#5 A Perfect Boudoir Session

Speaking of spa days…

A boudoir session is virtually that with the pampering and attention you so very much deserve included in your all day experience.

From your gorgeously styled hair to the flawless application of your makeup, you’ll feel like the royal queen you are.

From there you’ll get to wear stunning outfits and model in front of the camera for your dream boudoir session. You can adorn yourself in anything and everything you want!
