When you’ve been in the game as long as I have, you’ve basically heard every excuse in the book.

And here’s what I mean by excuses: we create things in our mind to convince ourselves that we shouldn’t or can’t do something. We fixate on little things that become a big deal to us because we give them that power.

It’s pretty heartbreaking too when you know someone really wants to say yes, but her insecurities are telling her no.

So I’m going to list the top five culprits that keep us women from pulling out the lingerie and slipping on the heels. Then I’m going to explain why each reason is absolutely NOT something that should keep you from showing off your sexy.

1) I Don’t Have Time

I’m sure it rarely ever crosses your mind that you should be making sure you take time to relax and feel pampered.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and spread way too thin when you’re such a busy bee. It just seems all too impossible to squeeze in a moment for yourself, so you haven’t even considered a boudoir shoot as an option.

3) I’m Too “Old”

Last time I checked, you don’t have a “BEST BY DATE” printed anywhere on you, so this isn’t even close to a valid reason.

You are irrevocably gorgeous, and that number called your “age” has absolutely NOTHING to do with how stunning you’ll look during your boudoir shoot.

I shoot women of every age, and I can tell you for a fact, that you are only as old as you let yourself feel. The only person who has any say in how you should see yourself is you, and age should never be a factor in that.

5) I’m Not Sexy Enough

The first thing I learned as a boudoir photographer, is that every single woman is sexy in her own way, you just have to get her comfortable enough to show it.
